Dr. Joanna Chan was born in Rangoon, Burma (Myanmar) and grew up in Dallas, Texas, where developed southern hospitality as characterized by kindness and warmth. She graduated valedictorian of her high school class of 1,100 with a full International Baccalaureate diploma and was a United States Presidential Scholar. After graduating magna cum laude in biochemical sciences at Harvard College, she studied at Stanford Medical School. Dr. Chan returned home to Dallas for residency at UT Southwestern Medical Center, a premier institution for dermatology and hands-on surgical training.

Janice DaVolio, MD
Dr. Janice DaVolio graduated summa cum laude from University of California, Irvine and received her medical degree with honors from the Medical College of Wisconsin, where she also completed her internship in Internal Medicine. She completed her Dermatology residency at University of Southern California (USC) Keck School of Medicine. She is Board-certified in Dermatology.
Dr. DaVolio continues her affiliation with USC where she is Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine, teaching Dermatology to both medical students and residents. Named as a “Top Doctor” in both San Gabriel Valley as well as Pasadena, she has also received the Young & Healthy J. Donald Thomas Award and volunteers for the Phil Simon Clinic Tanzania Project. In her spare time, she enjoys travel, hiking, and playing pickleball.
Jeany Cheng, NP
Jeany Cheng is a certified Nurse Practitioner who received her master’s degree in nursing from The University of Michigan. Throughout her 20+ year career, Jeany has worked in numerous fields including oncology and family care practices. Since 2015, Jeany has specialized in the field of dermatology, expertly treating a variety of medical dermatology conditions and performing many clinical procedures.
She gravitates towards dermatology because she loves the fact that all the systems of the body are represented on the skin. Through her work, she enjoys the ability to apply the science of medicine with individualized care. She values the one-on-one connection with her patients.
Jeany speaks Taiwanese, basic Mandarin, and Spanish. She lives in Alhambra with her husband. They are involved in their local church and in the past volunteered overseas with faith-based organizations. She spends time caregiving for her parents and relaxes by creating new jams from her fruit tree harvest.
Seth Vaccaro, MD
Chosen by Los Angeles Magazine as one of Los Angeles Super Doctors, Dr. Seth Vaccaro has maintained a successful practice in dermatology in Pasadena for several decades. A Phi Beta Kappa, magna cum laude graduate of Pomona College, he received his medical degree and completed residency training at the University of Southern California School of Medicine. A board-certified dermatologist and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, he is a member of various local, state and national medical societies. He teaches medical students and residents in dermatology as a Clinical Associate Professor at USC. Fluent in Spanish, Dr. Vaccaro also has a special interest in tropical disease. Honored by the Young and Healthy Program, he has also volunteered at the Phil Simon Tanzania project. In his spare time, Dr. Vaccaro enjoys music, travel, and gardening.
Sharonda Longino, NP
Sharonda Longino is a board-certified nurse practitioner specializing in dermatology & aesthetics. Hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, she obtained her BSN from Clayton State University and her Master’s degree from South University in Savannah, Georgia. Her early career included nursing at a Level I Trauma and Emergency center affiliated with Emory University, where she was nominated for the “Daisy Award,” reflecting extraordinary compassion, courage, & integrity during a nationwide healthcare initiative to ensure quality care & patient safety.
Sharonda began working as an aesthetic and dermatology nurse practitioner in 2019, receiving direct training in cosmetic dermatology with a UCLA-affiliated medical director & gaining expertise in general dermatology (acne, melasma, dermatitis, skin exams), procedural dermatology (biopsies, incision & drainage, suture repair), and aesthetic lasers, peels, & injectables.
Further aesthetic experience was developed at a laser center in Beverly Hills, California, including non-invasive energy devices, bio-stimulating therapies, micro-needling, & chemical peels. Sharonda completed over five years of training with globally innovative companies like Allergan and Galderma, mastering aesthetic practices for neurotoxins & dermal fillers. A member of Dermatology Nurses Association, California Association Nurse Practitioner, Aesthetics in Color, Sharonda contributes to annual professional conferences (Skin of Color Society, California Dermatology Physician Assistant Society, and International Society of Plastic & Aesthetic Nurses). Named a Master Injector by Allergan Medical Institute, Sharonda has contributed to peer-reviewed aesthetic journals such as Skin of Color Aesthetics.

Dr. Chan returned home to Dallas to complete dermatology residency at UT Southwestern Medical Center, a premier institution for dermatology and internationally regarded as the top training center for cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.
Among the elite handful of highly-trained Mohs surgeons in the Los Angeles area, Dr. Joanna Chan completed a Mohs College accredited fellowship at the California Skin Institute and is board-certified in Mohs Micrographic Surgery. Advanced fellowship training afforded exposure to rare tumor pathology, difficult tumor locations, and complex wound reconstruction, and experience collaborating with a team of top oncologists to provide the best outcomes. With over a decade of experience, Dr. Chan has performed over ten thousand Mohs Micrographic Surgery cases of varying complexity. She understands the importance of managing each patient’s skin cancer with an individualized approach, involving inter-disciplinary medical teams as warranted, and paying careful consideration to the unique anatomical considerations, lifestyle, and the special needs of each person to provide the highest possible cure and optimal outcomes.
She speaks Spanish, Fujian / Taiwanese, and Mandarin and has a special interest in treating patients with skin of color. Her passion is to create beautifully natural results utilizing a combination of advanced, non-invasive laser, injectable, (Botox, fillers, Radiesse, Sculptra), and lifting procedures, all with a philosophy of outstanding care, based on expertise and specialized attention to the particular needs of each patient.

Personal Story
Dr. Joanna Chan formerly practiced in Long Beach, and she moved her practice to Pasadena in 2018 to be closer to her family in Silver Lake, where she lives with her husband Dr. William Lee (vascular surgery, USC) and their two boys. In 2021, she assumed management of a highly-respected dermatology practice in existence for over 30 years, and it has now evolved to Dynasty Dermatology. Dr. Chan is an accomplished musician, having won state competitions in piano. She also played violin and later viola throughout college, touring Brazil with the Harvard-Radcliffe Orchestra and performing in chamber groups. She enjoys travel, karaoke, ballroom dancing, matchmaking, sampling the restaurant scene, and spending time with her family.

Annie Liu, MD
Annie Liu, MD is a board-certified dermatologist specializing in cosmetic, surgical, and medical dermatology. She completed her dermatology residency at the University of Toronto in Canada, where she served as Chief Resident. Dr. Liu further refined her dermatology skillsets through specialty training at L’Hôpital Saint Louis in Paris, France and several North American institutions including Ronald O. Perelman Dermatology at NYU. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in international journals, and the excellence of her research has been awarded several distinctions, including Best Paper Award from the Canadian Laser Aesthetic Surgery Society, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery Award, and Canadian Dermatology Association Frederick Kalz Research Award. Dr. Liu believes that we should all be able to look and feel our best at any age. She always strives for optimal results by combining an artistic eye with refined techniques and an empathetic approach. Her specific areas of interest include cosmetic dermatology, Asian skin, acne/rosacea, acne scarring, skin surgery, platelet-rich-plasma treatment for hair loss, and early skin cancer detection and treatment. Dr. Liu was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. She is fond of ballet, cultural cuisine, and corgis. She loves to explore California’s natural beauty with her Family!
